About The Workshop

Join Jay Collier and his team from www.thephotographyworkshopco.com to experience the iconic Australian landscapes of Kati Thanda (Lake Eyre) and the Painted Hills in the South Australian outback. Experience the thrill of photographing the stunning array of colours, textures and patterns from privately chartered open door aircraft as well as exclusive and unrestricted ground access to The Painted Hills on Anna Creek Station which is not available to the general public.

We pioneered the open door aerial photography tours here in Lake Eyre and have hundreds of combined flight hour under our belts to ensure that our guests capture the very best locations during your flights.

Our experience and knowledge of Lake Eyre from the air is unmatched by any other photographic tour company in the market.

What is included:

• No more than 2 guests per flight from an open door GA8 Air Van for uninterrupted views and photographic freedom

• All internal flights and transfers between Olympic Dam and William Creek. Thats right, we fly in directly with our own aircraft and no driving from Coober Pedy and no extra nights in transit. You will arrive at William Creek and the action starts from day one !!!

• 3 nights accomodation and 3 days of photography staying at the William Creek Hotel

• Two x 2-hour flights over Lake Eyre

• One x 30 min flight over the Painted Hills

• One x up to 5 hour walk around the Painted Hills with exclusive and unrestricted access (not available to the public)

• Australia’s leading photographic educators and tour leaders Jay Collier, Greg Sullavan and Scott Stramyk (all former Canon Australia / Canon Collective staff)

• Image review and editing sessions between activities

• All meals while at William Creek (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

• Bottled water on all flights and activities

  
  

  What is not included:

• Return flights from your home city to Adelaide

• Return flights to Olympic Dam where you must arrive by 9:30am on the first day of the tour and depart 9:30am on the final day. Flights depart daily from Adelaide airport with Alliance Air www.allianceairlines.com.au (transfers between William Creek and Olympic Dam airport are provided)

• Meals outside of William Creek Hotel (pre/post tour or snacks between provided meals)

• Bar purchases and drinks

• Pre or post accomodation in Adelaide. 1x night before is required near Adelaide airport due to early flight times on the first morning from Adelaide to William Creek

We don't want you buying our books and prints for your walls, we want you to produce your own and capture images that you are proud to hang on your walls or in your own book which we can help you produce.
